Some people relax by heading for a busy resort, filled with bustling nightlife and packed bars. Myself, I prefer to find a secluded spot with deserted beaches and clear blue water, where I can rest, think, and recharge. I want to eat wonderful food, enjoy a refreshing cocktail, read a book that makes me laugh out loud, and be gently pampered in quiet luxury. Aaah, paradise … and I found it, on Taveuni Island in Fiji.

Each country faces problems of sorts — political, environmental, civil rights, etc., and these are usually critical situations that have been going on for quite some time already yet haven’t been resolved. Fiji, one of these amazing islands of the Pacific, is just as exceptional. The location of Fiji on the map makes it a stunning archipelago of the different Pacific Islands. Surrounded by the Southwest Pacific Ocean, it is neighbors with Vanuatu on the East, Tonga on the West, and Tuvalu on the South. With more than 300 islands and 500 islets, one would truly be in awe of this fascinating island nation.
